Computing power for me, but not for thee
An article titled Can Blockchain Facilitate Sustainability & ESG Friendly Investing by Hirander Misra sparked a revelation for me... Crypto is often derided because it requires a lot of energy for the necessary computers and miners to build and validate it, but why does Traditional Finance get a free pass on how much energy they use to build and validate their systems?
Obviously the energy required for traditional finance is a necessary evil, but who gave them a monopoly on unrestricted energy use for financial concepts and currencies?
Free, Open Source Photoshop
Seriously. Unless you're a serious power user of Photoshop, Photopea can do pretty much everything you need it to. It's free (although I highly recommend the $40/year fee since it's basically a steal) and well worth a gander.
